Chintapally Sai Sannidhi Temple
Chintapally is a village and Mandal headquarters in Nalgonda district of Telangana, situated 88 km away from the district headquarters. ‘Chinta’ means ‘Tamarind’ in Telugu. Once this place was full of large sized tamarind trees, hence this village got named after it as Chintapally. This temple is located on Hyderabad- NagarjunaSagar highway. It is one of the most peaceful temples that are situated far away from pollution and noise. This temple is also known as Second Shirdi among the locals.
History Of The Temple:
The temple was inaugurated on June 17, 2007. Shri Machikanti Dhanunjaya is the founder of the temple who strived hard to make this temple and till date is working whole heartedly to make this temple to be known as Second Shirdi.
Construction Of The Temple:
The temple is built on 72 feet x 600 feet area. The temple is a two storied Mahal which looks very exquisite from outside. Carvings inside and outside the temple marks the elegancy of this beautiful construction. A beautiful 5 feet 6 inches long statue of Sri ShirdiSai Baba was installed on the same day of inauguration of temple by Sri Sridhar Swamy. On reaching the first floor, you can see this statue welcoming you and giving blessings with happy returns. There are also attractive idols of Lord Ganesha, Lord Dattatreya and Goddess Saraswati in the temple premises. Goddess Dwarkamayi welcomes you at the downstairs and ‘Dhuni’, a sacred fire is lighted by devotees who come here. The temple also has Nandadeep, Gosthan (cow shed), RaaviChettu (Peepal tree) and Vepa Chettu (Neem tree).
The main festivals celebrated at the temple are ShirdiSai Baba Anniversary, Guru Purnima, GaneshaChaturthi, Ugadi, DattatreyaJayanti and many more.
